New Enhancement

Custom New Hire Finalization Checklist

Admins can now create and save a customizable New Hire Checklist in settings, giving managers a simple way to track final onboarding tasks at the last step of the new hire workflow. This helps teams stay organized, complete handoffs with confidence, and maintain a clear record of checklist completion for each employee.

Document ID Generation for Better Tracking

A unique Document ID is now generated for each uploaded documents in the client and employee app. This makes it easier to identify, reference, and manage documents with greater accuracy and consistency.

Certificate of Completion for Signed Documents

When a document is fully completed and signed, a downloadable Certificate of Completion is generated alongside the final signed document. This gives Admins and Employees an added layer of documentation for compliance, verification, and record keeping.

Automated Re-assignment for Documents and Training

Admins can now configure documents and training materials to be automatically re-assigned after a selected period, such as days or years. This helps your team stay compliant by ensuring recurring acknowledgments and training requirements are re-assigned at the right time without manual follow-up.

Document Reminder Scheduling and Due Date Automation

Symply now supports configurable due dates and automated reminder schedules for employee documents and training. Admins can choose how due dates are set, how often reminders are sent, and whether reminders continue after a deadline, helping improve completion rates and reduce manual follow-ups.

Document History Tracking for Greater Visibility

A new Document History view gives admins a detailed audit trail of document activity, including timestamps, events, users, roles, and IP addresses. This added visibility makes it easier to review document actions, support compliance needs, and answer questions with confidence.

Filtered Periodic Payroll Reports That Match Your Search

When generating the Periodic Payroll Report, Symply now applies the on-screen search filters directly to the downloaded PDF. This gives Payroll Admins cleaner, more relevant reports without needing extra manual sorting.

Select All Locations in Payroll User Settings

Payroll Admins can now assign all locations at once when managing user access in Payroll Settings. This saves time, reduces repetitive clicks, and makes permission setup faster for growing teams.

Built-In Resource Tools Across Employee and Client Screens

Helpful resource icons have been added across employee and client account screens, with updated support links and cleaner access to guidance articles. This makes it easier to find answers quickly and get more value from Symply with less back-and-forth.

Smarter Employer I-9 Completion Experience

The employer section of the I-9 has been improved with pre-filled employer details by location and added guidance on required document lists. These updates make I-9 completion faster, clearer, and less error-prone for Admins.

Multi-Day Time Off Requests for Hourly and Salaried Employees

Employees can now request time off across multiple days in a more flexible way. Salaried employees can quickly select multiple days, while hourly employees can enter hours for each selected date, making time off requests more accurate and easier to manage.

Calendar View for Time Off Requests

Company admins can now view time off requests in a calendar-style experience, making it easier to see upcoming requests, review history, and plan around employee availability with more clarity.

 

Bug Fixes

  • Resolved an issue that could interrupt bank account cron setup after a new payment method was created, helping ensure payment method updates are processed more reliably.
  • Fixed an issue that caused an unauthorized error when saving a new company legal name while creating another account. Clients can now create additional company accounts more smoothly.
  • Fixed a user management issue where the action menu stayed open after deleting a user. The menu now closes as expected for a cleaner, more intuitive experience.
