Release Notes for June 2026
New Features
Backfill Employee Changes to Historical Payroll Records
When updating an employee’s department, job, or location, admins can now choose to apply those changes to historical payroll records from a selected date forward. This gives teams more control over payroll history and reporting accuracy, while clearly warning users when historical data and GL reporting will be affected.
Zayzoon On-Demand Pay Widgets Now Available in the Payroll Dashboard
We’ve added Zayzoon widgets directly into the Symply payroll dashboard for both admins and employees. Employees can view earned wages, access payout options, and explore on-demand pay, while admins can monitor usage and invite employees—all from within Symply.
Enhancements
More Detailed Termination Reporting
Termination reporting was enhanced to give payroll teams better visibility into employee separation data, making it easier to review and manage termination-related records.
Clearer Employee-to-Admin Role Visibility
We improved how admin roles connect to employee records and added linked employee visibility in user settings. This gives administrators better clarity when managing user access and employee relationships.
Split GL Report Costs by Job Title
The GL Report setup now supports splitting costs by job title in addition to location and department. This gives businesses more flexibility when organizing labor costs for accounting and reporting.
Employee IDs Are Now Easier to Copy
We improved the employee table experience by making Payroll ID and Employee No copy actions more intuitive, with clearer visual cues and confirmation feedback when values are copied.
Bounced Email Status Is Now More Visible on Employee Profiles
We added a visible flag next to employee email addresses when an email has bounced. This helps admins quickly spot delivery issues, reduce wasted outreach, and keep employee contact records cleaner.
