Release Notes for October 2024

New Features

  1. New Hire Dashboard

The “New Hires” tab in the dashboard enables you to easily keep track of the progress of your employees onboarding. With the New Hires dashboard, you can:

    • View the Hire Date and Onboarding Status of each employee in their onboarding journey (percentage of completion)
    • Re-send the onboarding invite to employees who have not started their onboarding
    • Review a summary employee’s submission for their onboarding steps
  2. Add Manager Field to Employee Profile

The Admin can now assign a Manager to an employee by selecting from a list of Users in the Employee Profile > Manager field. The assigned Manager is able to see the employee’s time off requests and approve/decline a time off request.

Enhancements

1. Enhanced I9 Step in Employee Onboarding

When completing the I9 step, the Employee can now:

  • Select more options for their status
  • Upload multiple documents
  • View uploaded documents in another tab
  • Preview the I9 pdf filled out with information from the page

2. Add Rehire Date to Termination Table

A new column titled “Rehire Date” has been added to the termination table to display the employee's rehire date.

3. Auto-fill Employee ID When Hiring Employees From the ATS

For Employees hired from the ATS, the System now automatically fills their Employee No in the Employment Details section of their profile.

4. Pre-fill Job Location in Employee's Employment Details When They Are Hired

When an Applicant’s status is changed to “Hired” on Symply ATS, and the Applicant’s profile is created on the Payroll App, the Job Location is automatically selected in the Employment Details of the Employee.

5. Add a Third Tier for ER Match to 401k Benefit Plans

An Admin can now add a third tier to the employer match when adding a retirement benefit plan for Traditional 401k and Roth 401k.

Bug Fixes

1. Time Off Request Approval: When approving a time off request, accrual logs is updated before payroll is run.

2. Custom Deduction Total Amount: When the Admin saves the deduction setup with total amount empty, after reload the total amount field displays the “null” text.
