# Add a Recurring Custom Earning to an Employee’s Profile

## If you have employees who receive additional pay every payroll, you can use recurring custom earnings to simplify your payroll. Custom earning types must be set up under Settings before you can add recurring earnings to employees.

1. Click the **Employees** tab in the left navigation menu
2. Select an employee to open their profile
3. Scroll down to the Custom Earnings & Deductions section
4. Select **Add Custom Earning** 
     1. Select an **Earning Type** 
            1. If no earning types are available click **Add More**
     2. Enter the **amount** to be included on every payroll
     3. Click **Save**
